At a time when mediocrity permeates American popular music, San Francisco’s PARCOURSE stands well apart from the pack with its distinct blend of songwriting, sound, and dynamic energy.
Formed in 2002, the band consists of drummer Matthew Ayotte, vocalist/guitarist David Blatty, and bassist/vocalist Andrei Pasternak. Over the course of the last three years, PARCOURSE has firmly established itself in the California music scene, bringing their memorable, hook-laden brand of guitar-based pop to such important venues as Slim’s, The Bottom of the Hill, The Edinburgh Castle, The Paradise Lounge, Hotel Utah, Spaceland, and the Crowbar, playing with the likes of Dick Dale, Creeper Lagoon, The Frank and Walters, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Kenickie and Placebo. These consistently exciting shows, backed by their 2002 debut 5 song E.P. has won them both critical success and regular airplay on such stations as Live 105 and KUSF (SF), KALX (Berkeley), and KXLU and KROQ (LA), and has helped to swell an already significant following.

PARCOURSE’s fine-tuned sound, that spans the spectrum of moods and melodies from sweet, sulky lows, to hard, screaming highs, hints at a wide range of influences, from the Beach Boys and Black Sabbath, to My Bloody Valentine and Pinback. Thanks for taking the time to listen to PARCOURSE’s finely distilled blend of rock and roll music.
