Another slice of quirky cosmopolitan pop from Karen Holland and Yannick Muet (She: Anglo/Chinese, lead vocals, guitars - He: French, keyboards, guitars, drums). Described by the band as "a jolly song about nothing", THE NEW DRUG proves once more that Ninotchka are only happy when they're all over theplace... Check the sweet melodies, electric pianos, jangly guitars and electro lines, the sugary and occasionally uncool influences (Abba, Carpenters and numerous French oddities), and of course Karen's silky ways of singing the most sinful things.
