Now it's time for action....
When we were testing our little Download Singles Club for a few weeks prior to our launch we thought that it'd be neat if kicked off our series of test releases with a track from a mighty fine band from Portland, Oregon called theFORreals. The track was God Is Digital (aren't we clever) and it was our smart-arse way of ushering in a new era of Shifty D.
Well the time has now come for the rest of the waking world to sit up and take notice of this cool three piece (two bass players and a drummer, we kid you not). Norm (bass player and singer) came over here to the UK to play some solo shows in the Spring and took the top of our heads off with his engaging charm.
To convince you to dig into your pockets and part with some cash (the album, "Wash Away The Cheer" is now available as a US import on oxfordmusic.net for only £7.99) we've decided to serve up a couple of tracks in a double A-side ZIP package.
"Butter Cookies" is one of those infectiously catchy pop songs that bounces around your head all day long and "707" just has the coolest groove.
Enjoy what's one offer here, then go and buy the album. Perhaps if the band shift a boatload of CDs then we'll be able to drag them over to Europe for some live shows. And that would be just perfect.
