Freddie Keen - Steel and Slide
"Freddie Keen is a singer song writer from South London who often opens up the Flux = Rad evenings for
us. We find he has a unique ability of very quickly drawing an audience to the music.
When they come into the room for the first act they are usually a hyped up and a bit distracted but with his amazing guitar skills,
voice and enchanting lyrics he manages effortlessly to grab their attention. It is rare to find a solo artist who can do this,
maintain it throughout a whole set and then receive rapturous applause at the end. As well as being a solo artist, Freddie sometimes
plays with a band and can slip between a very calming style to raucous rock'n'roll very easily. This track Slide and Steel incorporates
both of these aspects of Freddie's music."

After graduating from Chelsea College of Art, Freddie began following his
musical nose and completed his debut record 'Steel and Slide' in 2008.
Freddie is now cranking it up a notch with a new electric trio and has begun
recording new material for this years follow up album.
He sings mournful yet poignantly uplifting songs that feel as if they were
written just for you. Delivered with a strange wit and brutal honesty his
live sets are not to be missed.
Freddie is currently playing guitar with Fanfarlo and is set to embark on a UK tour in February.
"Elaborately plucked acoustic blues from Keen, whose 'City Living' recalls Belle & Sebastian's 'Stars Of Track And Field', playing tracks from his forthcoming debut EP". Time Out
