Villareal
Villareal are one of those bands [a bit like Take That] that never seem to go away for long. Resident of sunny Brighton, where even the pensioners have attitude, this group of merry men have been quietly doing their own lo-fi pop thing for 4 fun-packed years now.
Citing bands such as Teenage Fanclub, Sparklehorse, Weezer, The Cure, Ride and Boo Radleys as primary sources of influence and places to steal ideas from, Villareal are currently working on their third album, which should see the light of day sometime in 2009.
The song 'Ghost Train' is taken from the bands second album 'Blue Snakes' and is an attempt to sound both Christmassy and Glam Rock at the same time.
