3 lads flogging a dead horse called britpop finally decided to take off their rose-tinted glasses and look towards their future. Recruiting a vocalist and bass player they formed No Cassandra and within a few months of continually writing what they thought was the best song they'd ever wrote finally started churning out tracks that made them think that it was all worthwhile.
In March '08 No Cassandra hit the road running with several very well received gigs and reviews and are on the verge of playing several of this summers festivals as well as soon to be supporting some major label bands on the tour wagon.
www.myspace.com/nocassandraThey have a mellow, contemporary indie-pop direction with atmospheric guitars, folky melodies and Matt's strong, tender vocal - all making for a sound that has found the perfect balance between accessibility and the alternative. Their songs unfold at their own well-measured pace, packed full of memorable hooks and catchy, sing-along choruses; they are a band with some very strong, upbeat material, and despite being together for a short amount of time, they brought it all together flawlessly live.
