THE SCARAMANGA SIX - 'THE ELECTRICITY, BILL'
| |

'The Electricity, Bill' is taken from the forthcoming album 'Cabin Fever' - some advance copies of which are currently available on www.oxfordmusic.net.
What some people have said about The Scaramanga Six:
'The Scaramanga Six make a ridiculous response with ‘The Poison Pen’, a psychotic act of sonic death laden with gratuitous, over-distorted noise. The Scaramanga Six are one of the most exciting bands making noise in Leeds at the moment' - THE FLY
'No, Mother, I don’t know many rock bands that’d fancy having to follow them onstage either.' - WWW.UNPEELED.CO.UK
'This is great British rock music at its best.' - SANDMAN MAGAZINE
'wilfull weirdness peppered with retro-riffing, parping saxophones and mad-genius keyboard special effects; B-movie chic combined with real musical muscle.' - KKKK - KERRANG!
'chunks of brutal rock’n’roll hammer through your temples with all the desperation of a 47 year-old virgin in the back of a knocking shop. Excellent stuff.' - LOGO MAGAZINE
'these individuals may just as well have met in an asylum - their tunes twist and turn with guitar eccentricities and lunatic Moog injections, and are as raw as scraping your knuckles on a cheese-grater' - ROCK SOUND
'It's difficult not to fall for The Scaramanga Six's gloriously over-the-top hullabaloo.' - WWW.ABOUTTHEMUSIC.CO.UK

LES FLAMES! - 'JUST SAY NO'
| |
A version of 'Just Say No' will appear on les Flames! as yet untitled debut album.
What some people have said about les Flames!:
'‘Wrong' is a Hives-topping blast of shouty, anthemic garage rock with some naughty swear words in the chorus, which is fantastic, obviously' - NME
'they revisit the spirit of 77 with a vitriolic 3 minute blast that would sit easily amongst any of the clash's first album. its that good. passion burns strong. along with the bands intent. superb.' - WWW.IREALLYLOVEMUSIC.COM
'They came, they trashed, they swore a bit: then they fucked off' - WWW.TRAKMARX.COM
'Mutley 1 From Essex' kicks in awash with muddy basslines and cocky handclaps The Hives would die for... les Flames! still have more swagger, attitude and bollocks than most bands could muster' - THE FLY
'if only all artists masquerading under the banner of 'punk' did it with the same urgency and demonic elegance as les Flames!' - WWW.DROWNEDINSOUND.COM
'They get in quick, hammer out a couple of chords and shout a lot, then fuck off out the door. We like it when bands do that' - LOGO MAGAZINE

FARMING INCIDENT - 'PHOBOS'
| |
'Phobos' will probably appear on the forthcoming album 'Our Glorious Five Year Plan', out sometime in the next few months.
What some people have said about Farming Incident's last single 'The Flute Of Shame':
'Cast Iron guitars flap against cap flap drums and Kennedys squalling lead parts. There’s a touch of a more violent Wire and the dark lo-fi buzzsaw is utterly attractive to those seeking a more thoroughbred approach to sharp snappy and authentic portals to the roots of New Wave.' - WWW.MANCHESTERMUSIC.CO.UK
'We Like this band, partly because they’re plainly not very well, but mainly because they make interesting records. This dicks around with some nicely sloppy rhythm guitars and a weird tight lead guitar jangling around like a dentist’s drill in a speed freak’s hands. The ‘Flute’ in question was, evidently a medieval torture device used to punish bad musicians. Now we really know what happened to Jacko’s nose..... ' - WWW.UNPEELED.CO.UK
