We started in late 2004 playing mostly in Leeds (mostly instrumental with extra friends on vocals, bongos, flute, extra guitars). Since then we've played all over - the best gigs being in Southampton, Oxford and Chichester. Oxford especially has been really good to us - we nearly won Demo of the Month in Nightshift the other day but were beaten by Mounted Insanity Cannon, and we opened Equitruck this year. We've had some great nights with bands like Russian Circles, Witches, They Don't Sleep (RIP), AndNoStar (pretty much RIP I think), UpCDownC, *Shels, Kumiss, Our Own Devices, The Workhouse, Pirateship Quintet...... The days of us playing shit nights with shit bands put on by shit promoters (such as one in Kingston that tried to make us pay him, scum) are definitely over.
We've booked our first proper tour with West-Country post-metal band Red Paper Dragon - it starts on Sat 8th March. We're travelling about for 9 days so I hope we don't all die of scurvey or consumption or whatever. We've got an awesome array of bands - mostly picked by us. The track released here is off our last 'Mountain Language' EP. There's a limited edition single for sale on the tour. After that we'll be recording our first album......
