Lato - 3AM

Lato was founded by Alex Lato and Jake Blair in August 2006. The band has six members, Mike Varnava, Kiki D, Arnulf Ochs, Simon Bowker making up the rest of the gang.
Lato have grown quickly. In November 2006 they recorded the London Girl EP, which gave them their first success as London Girl was soon being played round the world by podcasters from the podsafe music network. Number One, an older version from that currently on myspace, also earned the band some devoted fans.
The line up changed over Christmas 2006. Arnulf and Simon joined us, from the wastes of Saarbreuken and Redhill respectively, and together they made a significant impact on the sound. Sensing that it was time to go for broke, the band commenced recording their first album in February 2007 with Ian Tompson at Helicon Mountain Studios.
That album is nearing completion. The Scandalous EP was released as a taster in April 2007, and from that the band picked up further play from podcasts, and the first signs of interest from the industry. London Girl went straight into the ISON live radio chart in Australia, where it is still in third place. It has recently been joined by 3AM, which is at No.17 in the World Indie Chart.
