"Nom de Guerre" is the French expression for "pseudonym" ("name of war" if you take it literally).
"Nom de Guerre" is also the name of a power-pop trio (Hector, Louis and George de Guerre) who are just starting to make waves. Aptly named, they've declared war on conformity, trad-rock posing and predictable songwriting. Everything from the band members' aristocratic-looking, self-designed clothes to their ingenious, dynamic songs and slightly twisted lyrics feels refreshingly different. Their debut album will be released imminently through Dead Frog Records.
