Wire Jesus
The year has started on a high for Berkshire six-piece Wire Jesus, acclaimed
live performances and their debut single (on Josaka Music) make the coming
months an exciting prospect. With the considerable production talents of Adam Whittaker (The Rakes/New Rhodes/The Race) behind the debut Double A-side single Wire Jesus have shown themselves to be one of the most original and unique bands emerging today. 'The Intruder (Make It Better)' creeps and crawls until bursting into a blistering passage of cathartic rock. Flipside 'Another Day' - as featured here on the Shifty Disco Download Club - twists and twirls around lovelorn melody, a work song for the broken-hearted.
Wire Jesus have just triumphantly returned to Reading in support of My Latest Novel and Semifinalists. April sees a support with V2 signing My Luminaries and a tour is currently being scheduled for May/June.
Recent live dates have seen Wire Jesus at a diverse range of venues: anything from an instore at the south's largest music shop to Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall. Recent supports with Martin Grech, American folksters HEM and Pure Reason Revolution have gained Wire Jesus critical acclaim for their mesmerizing vocal harmonies, frenetic live performances and well crafted songs full of menace and beauty.
