Black Moses have a rock'n'roll pedigree that is simply irresistible. Singer and guitarist Jim Jones formerly fronted Thee Hypnotics whose drug-fuelled psychedelia provided a scuzzy underbelly to late-80s rock; bassist Graeme Flynn previously saw action with rocket-powered garage punks Penthouse, while drummer Chris B helped power a Melvins side-project.

So, as you might expect, together they make a big bad bastard of a racket. The sort of big bad bastard of a racket that big bad bastard bands like Free and Led Zep used to scare your parent's parents with back in, ooh, sometime back when. Black Moses have just signed a European album deal but before the fruits of that flower, the UK gets an advance taste of bigness, badness and bastardicity as Shifty Disco release debut single "Eye On You" this month.
